How did you find us?
I was in the SWTOR wiki searching for a good guild to join I saw this one and it seemed to be the best.

Why do you wish to join us?
I wish to join you because I not only looking for group of people to play with, I am looking a group of brothers to play with.The most important things that I consider when I want to join a guild is the Comraderie, the Fun and the Seriousness, each of these characteristics is very important to me when I am choosing a guild, this guild has these features and many more that other guilds don't have. I want join a guild this early because when the game is lauched I already have a solid position in the guild and I am already familiar with my brothers. I like CotF above others because I feel like I am playing with brothers and knowing that there is always someone that got my back.


Why should we accept you?
I've been patienty awaiting this game for a long time. I don't question orders. I like to play MMO games. I can be helpful in anyway, just tell me what to do and I wiil gladly do it. I can help you improve even more the website and the forum.

Why did you pick us over everyone else?
Because the other guilds didn't knew when it was time to have fun and when it was time to discuss serious issues. And the more serious problem was that they did not think what was best for the group, that's why I choose this group over the others.


What do you expect to get from joining this guild?
A group of people that can help me when I need, who appreciate the "multiplayer" in MMO, That are brothers. I expect that all the members of this guild to friendly, supportive anddo always what's best for the guild.


What are your strengths and weaknesses?
I'm a good stratagist, good creative writer, I never give up, very friendly and peaceful. Weaknesses...I am little shy, and sometimes too tolerant in situations that needed a more severe action.


Imagine you could trade places with anyone for just a week. The person could be famous or not famous, living or from history, real or fictional. With whom would you trade places?
I would like to be a Jedi because I liked to be able to experience the Force, wield a lightsaber, travel to other planets and meet other especies. I has been my dream since the first time I watched the movies.


How would you define success?
I think that you can only have sucess by acheiving what you set out for yourself, climbing a ladder and only when you get to the "top" you are fulfilled. I believe that for some the definition of "top" may not be having millions of dollars, but fell like you fulfilled your purpose in life.

What motivates you to put forth your greatest effort?
Personal desire to do my very best in whatever I put my mind to. The other thing that motivates me is my family, my role model is my father every thing I am today I owe it all to my father.

If any, which members do you know in our guild, and what is your relationship?
None yet but I'm hoping that I can make some friends here.


Tell us something about yourself outside of SW:TOR; what kind of hobbies are you interested in, etc?
I like to play american football, watch movies with my friends, go to the beach, listen to music, go to the disco and play Star Wars games. I like a lot Star Wars, I'm a huge fan but that doesn't need I can't hang out with my friends.


Have you been a part of any other SW:TOR Pre-Launch guilds?
No, this is my first application.


Do you have ventrilo installed and a working mic?
Yes indeed, and I look forward to talk with you via Ventrilo.


Are you easily offended?
No, only when someone says racist comment or makes fun of my family. I have a tendency to be very tolerable in these type of situations I'm not a violent person, but when I'm angry you see that I'm angry.

I was born in Coruscant, I left my family at an early age to go to the Jedi Academy. I witness the destruction of our temple in the Sacking of Coruscant, I couldn't fight because I was still a youngling. I saw many of my Masters and friends being killed. When I recoverd from my wounds, I went back to the temple to see nothing it was all destroyed. After that tragic event, we went back to our homeworld of Typhon, where we could meditate and recover from our wounds. I am currently a Jedi Padawan waiting for my trials.


Interested in Piloting:I like a lot piloting spacecrafts, I enjoyed it very much when I was playing SW Galaxies, I hope to see that in Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Just looking at it you need to bold your questions, and I'm sure there gonna say beef up your answers. Like strengths and weakness's...im a football player???? does that mean your loyal dependent? or are you just saying you like to hit people? go more in depth with your answers.

Welcome to the forums, Jason! As a member of the admissions team, let me be the first to extend an official welcome. Firstly, let me just say that it's a real pleasure whenever anyone applies to our guild and we look forward to you joining our ranks - as such please don't let the helpful criticism that follows detract from your interest. We're not trying to haze you, we're just trying to initiate you into the community according to the standards that we all try to meet. Like Travis said, while your application is a good start, it lacks the polish and depth that we require. Don't stop reading though, because applying is a give and take process and we're here to help, not hinder.

The first thing that you should do is to bold the questions in your application; it's a silly little thing, I know, but it really does help those who are trying to read it - and I can assure you that a LOT of people are going to read your application. (At least 50 or so). Once that's done - let's work on adding some more substance to your responses. To do this I would recommend reading through the accepted applications of other members of the guild to see what a completed application looks like. Ideally, I would like to see a three-four sentence response to each questions, and perhaps a little bit more for some of the more substantive ones. For starters let's work on this one:

Q: Why do you wish to join us?

A:I like your name, enjoyed the summary, I like to a part of a group particullarry this one.

Perhaps it is a personal quirk of mine, but I consider this to be the most important question of all. There are dozens and dozens of pre-launch guilds that you could have joined; and while you probably won't have really great reasons for choosing this one over some of the other comparable Republic guilds (Pax Republica, for example) I would like to think you have a stronger reason than, you like our name. A lot of people like our name, but not all of them apply to the guild. Why do you want to "be a part of a group, particularly this one?" Frankly, nothing in your application suggests a reason for your preferring us above others.

As I said, I'm sure you have your reasons, I'm just looking to you to share a little more with us. Considering how many applications we get, this is the surest way of weeding out those aren't serious in their wish for membership - and I assure you, those of us here as Champions of the Force take our community very seriously. We all want to play TOR, but even more we all want to play TOR together - show us that we want to play this game with you.

So here are a few potential jumping points for a more thorough answer:
-What do you like about COTF above and beyond other guilds?
-What are the most important criteria in a guild to you? Size? Domination? Comraderie? Reputation? Community? Fun? Seriousness?
-Why do you want to join a guild this early? Launch is still a year away, why do you think COTF is prepared for the long haul?

I hope I'm not scaring you off here, because I'm serious when I say I would love to welcome you to the guild. Consider this revision process a way of letting us know that you are serious, and we'll take you seriously. Cheers, friend - and welcome to Champions of the Force.

Edit: I liked the changes, I can see that your English is not perfect and I would be willing to overlook the grammar mistakes present in your application. But I do suggest you spend more time with the answers, they sound very repetitive. Other than that, the app looks ok.

I am not an admission officer and am probably overstepping boundaries here, but I can see that your intentions are in the right place and felt the urge to give you hand, after all, I wouldn't be much of a "colonial" if I didn't, right? :awe:

It would be great to have another Portuguese speaker in the guild, and you seem like an alright guy so I hope you can find time to add more to this so that you can move on to the next phase of the admission process.
